Consider and discuss: Think about the last time you felt despondent. What was the situation that caused those feelings?” Can you describe the feelings? Were the feelings based on truth or untruth?

Do you sometimes regard your down feelings as a lack of faith? Do you think there is a difference between faith and feelings? Can you have negative feelings and still have faith?

What do you do to turn your feelings around when you are depressed? Consider keeping a journal of blessings and referring to that journal during difficult times?

Read Eph. 5:14-20 again. Think about how you can use this formula to speak truth to your feelings.
